Oral and maxillofacial pathology is a confluence of basic sciences and clinical dentistry deals with the nature of diseases, malformations of teeth, mouth and associated structures. Clinical practitioners, researchers, educators and microscopic diagnosticians collaborate with us to advance in oral health care.
The department deals with first three years of undergraduate students by imparting knowledge in Oral anatomy, Embryology, Oral histology and Oral Pathology. Postgraduate course in Oral pathology was started in the year 2009 with 2 seats and later the number of seats got increased to 5 from academic year 2013.Postgraduation course is a three year programme which makes the student self-sufficient with routine cytological, haematological and histopathological procedures. The Department is also equipped with Immunohistochemistry lab for advanced diagnostic procedures.
